This is why SSOOOK also recommends starting with your dog’s chest measurement when choosing a size for your pet.
For example, if your dog’s chest girth is 44 cm, simply find the corresponding size in SSOOOK’s size guide and choose that option.
However, even within the same breed, no two dogs have exactly the same body shape. Some dogs may have longer backs or legs, which can make the fit look different even if their chest girth is the same. For example, dogs with longer backs may appear to have shorter jackets, while those with shorter backs may have extra fabric around the waist.
In these cases, it’s better to consider back length rather than chest girth. For instance, if your dog measures as an M by chest girth but an L by back length, we recommend going with the larger L size. Even if the chest area feels slightly loose, the overall fit will look more balanced, and allow your dog to more more comfortably.

When choosing one size larger based on chest girth, keep in mind that the back length and the belly length will also increase. For male dogs, this may cause the belly area of the garment to get in the way during urination, so it’s something to be aware of when selecting the size.
