1. Long-Distance Travel / Trips
For trips that involve travelling for an extended period of time, we recommend the SSOOOK Front Bag or Backpack. All SSOOOK bags use the same premium padding material found in the world’s leading baby carrier brands, ensuring a comfortable experience.
However, due to the structural nature of sling bags, the weight of both the bag and the dog is supported on one shoulder, so they are not recommended for extended use. For long-distance travel or extended outings, we suggest choosing a backpack or front bag that distributes weight evenly across both shoulders, along with a supportive waist belt for more stability and comfort.
2. In-Cabin Air Travel
Carry-on pet carrier regulations vary by airline, so it’s important to check in advance. However, there are common requirements among airlines. There must be sufficient space inside the bag for the pet to move, and the shape of the bag must remain consistent during movement. The SSOOOK Front Bag also meets these criteria and can be brought into the cabin, but when flying, we recommend the SSOOOK sling bag line instead.

A Real Travel Experience

Q. We heard that you experienced long hours of travel, including car rides, during your trip. While moving between different modes of transportation, which moment stood out to you the most?
A. As a developer of SSOOOK bags, I conduct long-term testing in a wide range of situations to observe how they perform in real-life situations. One of the most memorable moments was when I traveled from Paris, France, to London, UK. We crossed the Dover Strait and boarded the Eurostar with our car and used the SSOOOK Backpack as a car seat the whole time we were traveling.
Although it was a long trip that involved switching between a car and a train and crossing beneath the sea, the dogs stayed comfortably inside the bag for nearly seven hours. This experience once again highlighted how important a well-designed carrier is, one that allows dogs to remain stable and comfortable across various travel environments.
Q. I heard you took a long flight of about 15 hours from Seoul to New York. How were the dogs during the flight?
A. The flight from Seoul to New York took about 15 hours. Kkuri, who weighs 6 kg, spent the time in the SSOOOK sling bag, lying down, stretching, and even rolling over, naturally changing positions as she rested.
Watching her relax and make eye contact with me, the 15 hours flew by in a breeze. One of the flight attendants even said, “She hasn’t whined once. She’s so calm.”
As a developer, seeing what I had envisioned, my dog being able to truly rest even during travel, come to life right in front of me, made me instinctively reach for my camera and capture that moment.
Q. When visiting dog-friendly restaurants or cafés, when did the SSOOOK bags feel especially helpful?
A. At dog-friendly restaurants, the most important thing is for dogs to stay calm and comfortable without whining. That’s what allows owners to truly relax and enjoy their meal.
For dogs to stay calm, they need to be able to comfortably lie down and rest inside the bag, and if they can even fall asleep, that’s the ideal situation. You especially notice the difference in moments like stepping away briefly or going to the restroom.
With conventional bags, I always had to keep holding them or stay constantly alert, worrying that the bag might tip over. With SSOOOK bags, I can really feel that even these everyday situations were carefully considered during the design process, and the more I use them, the more I notice how beneficial they are.
